The President of the Republic's Working Lunch with Prime Minister Laar

At today's meeting, The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister discussed the broader activity plan of the Government of the Republic, including the Government's activity in promoting Estonia's accession to the European Union and NATO. President Meri reiterated once again that it is the task of the Government to explain the reasons for acceding to the European Union and NATO. These two independent goals are directly dependent on each other. ''The government coalition understands their responsibility in these processes determining the future of Estonia;'' Prime Minister Laar confirmed.
