The acting Governor of Võru County Krista Paal and Mayor of Võru Ivi Eenmaa gave an overview of situation in Võru and Võru County today and future development plans.
In the Southern-Estonia Hospital Chief Doctor Rein Kermes, and Chief Nurse Kaja Solom met the President of the Republic. At the meeting with the hospital's management the issues of regional health care policy as well as the organisation and future plans of health care in Southern-Estonia were discussed.
After that, the President of the Republic went to the Haanja Ski Center, where following an introductory tour in the center, a discussion with the leaders of local governments and educational authorities of Võru County on educational policy "Contradictions between national educational policy, actual organisation of education and regional policy" was held.
The Viitina Male Ensemble and pupils of the Haanja-Ruusmäe Basic School greeted the Head of State.
