The President of the Republic recognized the services of the Ambassador of Italy

In recognition of his services to the Republic of Estonia, President Arnold Rüütel decided to confer the I Class Order of the Cross of St. Mary's Land on Mr Luchino Cortese, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Estonia in 1999 – 2002, leaving his office.
