According to the guests, in Estonia so far five postage stamps depicting individuals had been put into circulation during their lifetime. Now there are three Presidents and two Olympic Champions among those honoured in this way.
President Rüütel took interest in the design of Estonian postage stamps and their success in international competitions and also in the development of Eesti Post.
