The Director General of the Universal Postal Union complimented President Meri on Estonia's progress and handed over a souvenir to the Head of State an album of stamps issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations.
On the meeting, Thomas E. Leavey was accompanied by Tarmo Jaan Tõeleid, the Director General of Estonian Post.
