The state visit of the President of the Republic and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel to Ukraine yesterday and today continued in Odessa. From what he had seen in Odessa and the surrounding region, President Arnold Rüütel highlighted a forceful development, which, according to the President, created good prerequisites for economic co-operation. Both the leaders of Odessa's seaport and representatives of other business lines showed great interest in contacts with Estonia. Also Mrs Ingrid Rüütel having visited the University of Odessa could see that the Ukrainians are eager to re-establish contacts with Estonian universities.
