The President of the Republic met with Members of the European Parliament

President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg met with the Members of the European Parliament from Estonia. The meeting addressed the Members' forthcoming business in the European Parliament, first of all, cooperation among the Members who belong to different political groups in defending Estonia's common and regional interests. They also talked about how to maintain contacts with their electors and the Riigikogu, and how to increase knowledge of Estonia among Members of the European Parliament.

The President expressed his wish to meet the Members also after the work of the newly elected European Parliament has begun. The Members accepted the invitation with gratitude.
