The President supported the Legal Chancellors wish to give more attention to the protection of the rights of children in his work, especially emphasising the need for the fast solution of the problem of the so-called street children. Common positions were also reached in the question that Estonia needs a national housing programme, increase of employment, and better organised social welfare programmes. Thoughts were exchanged also on the administrative reform and Estonias accession to the European Union.
The President of the Republic and the Legal Chancellor confirmed their readiness to protect the Estonian Constitution in the future.
