The President of the Republic congratulated the winners of Eurovision singing contest

President Lennart Meri made a call to Copenhagen a little before midnight, when it was clear that Estonia would win the Eurovision singing contest. President Meri congratulated Tanel Padar, Dave Benton, and the Estonian Eurovision team, who had brought the first Eurovision victory to Estonia.
