The President of the Republic congratulated the Mayor of Helsinki and thanked her for promoting longstanding and wide-ranging cooperation between Estonia and Finland.
The head of Estonian state made the decision to award the 3rd class Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana to Eva-Riitta Siitonen on February 2, 2005 on the occasion of the Independence Day and in recognition of her activities for promoting the Estonian-Finnish cooperation.
