President Karis reiterated to President Duda that Estonia supports his country in the crisis and that it will implement every diplomatic measure at its disposal to bring the hybrid attack to an end. “We stand in solidarity with Poland, and we realise that in defending the external border of the EU and NATO, Poland is also defending our border,” President Karis remarked. “We must continue to make every effort with our allies to stop these events from escalating any further. Using illegal migration for political means is unacceptable.”
President Karis has plans to discuss the situation with representatives of Estonian agencies as soon as practicable.
