President of the Republic Alar Karis cast an electronic vote today in the local government council elections.
“My e-vote has been cast. During the coronavirus pandemic, it is great that Estonia offers the possibility to cast your vote on your computer without any human contact and safely in all respects. Those who wish to do so can naturally make their choice at the ballot box – while of course following the rules that help to protect you and others from the virus in the continuing pandemic,” said President Karis.
“Every vote counts, so please vote and make a smart and informed decision. I also hope that as many 16-year-olds as possible will cast a vote in their first elections to have their say about how life in their home region should be run in the coming years,” President Karis added.
