The head of state thanked Mr Kozlowski for the dedicated work he has done not only as the Polish ambassador in Estonia, but also as a senior member of the diplomatic corps. “Ambassador Kozlowski has been tireless in promoting cooperation between our two countries in all fields of diplomacy, from security to the economy,” President Karis remarked upon presenting the decoration. Ambassador Kozlowski’s time in office has coincided with the centenary of diplomatic relations between Estonia and Poland and the re-establishment of the Polish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce.
The head of state noted that Poland was the lead force in NATO and the Baltics, significantly increasing its defence spending and developing the alliance’s collective defence. “Poland is the leading country when it comes to protecting our region and we value its close cooperation in the area of defence very highly,” he said. “And like Estonia, it has been unwavering in its support of Ukraine.”
