At the meeting, bilateral relations between Estonia and Egypt, the situation in North Africa and the Middle East, possible co-operation platforms in the digital sphere and
co-operation between the two countries in international organisations were discussed. The visit by the Minister Shoukry represents the first high-level visit of Egypt to Estonia.
The only Estonian embassy among the African and Arabian countries is also located in Egypt.
