"It would be difficult to find a better ambassador for Estonian art and culture than Konrad Mägi. He reaches his hand to show – we are a part of Europe; we are one Europe. And have always been so," said President Kaljulaid at the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition of landscape paintings by Konrad Mägi, who had close ties with Italy, can be viewed at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art (Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna) in Rome. This is the first foreign exhibition to introduce the works of Konrad Mägi abroad of this scale, and it became possible through co-operation between the Art Museum of Estonia and the Estonian Embassy in Rome. The curator of the exhibition is Eero Epner.
Today, the Head of State will visit the International School of Rome and two art schools and present them with reproductions of "Italian Landscape. Rome" by Konrad Mägi.
