Small states can be more flexible, adopt decisions quicker and are often more successful in implementing new solutions and governance systems, said the President of the Republic, giving Estonia's success in building up a digital society as an example.
According to the Head of State, it is also very important for small states to make an international contribution. "Estonia has always considered foreign policy important for the purpose of fulfilling international obligations. We have done this by both sharing our digital experiences and contributing to international missions," added the Head of State.
President Kaljulaid will return from her work visit to Iceland tonight.
