President Ilves offered his condolences to Latvia

"I am in mourning with the Latvian people and bow my head in memory of the victims," President Ilves wrote in his letter of condolence to the President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš, in response to the tragic collapse of a roof in a Riga supermarket last night.

President Ilves offered his condolences on behalf of Estonia to the friends and family of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

"Our thoughts are with Latvia in these sad times," the Estonian Head of State wrote.
