President Ilves emphasised the euro-integration experiences of Estonia, where the establishment and development of a state based on the rule of law became one of the priorities.
"The unconditional acceptance of the principals of a state based on the rule of law and abiding by these principles are the cornerstones of Estonia's success story," he said.
The Estonian Head of State expressed his hope that the Association and Free Trade Agreement, hopefully concluded between the European Union and Georgia in June, will increase trade between the two.
The popular Estonian-Georgian feature film, "The Tangerines", shows the human depth of relations between the two countries; furthermore, we are also strong partners in several NATO operations and foreign policy allies in security matters that are important for Europe, President Ilves emphasised.
The Estonian and Georgian Heads of State discussed the influence of Russia's aggression against Ukraine on the trans-Atlantic security situation.
