Taking part in the meeting alongside Presidents Karis and Nausėda will be European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, President Edgars Rinkēvičs of Latvia and President Andrzej Duda of Poland. All five will hold a joint press conference at 14:00.
The heads of state will be talking with President von der Leyen about the protection of critical infrastructure, EU-NATO cooperation, infrastructure projects (including progress with Rail Baltic) and bolstering defence cooperation with the United States.
They will also discuss support for Ukraine and observance of the sanctions imposed on Russia, so as to continue working for a just peace.
