The Office organizes the domestic and international communication of the President of the Republic, manages the exchange of information with the media, the public, and other partners, prepares draft legislation, and performs other duties.
In the 1930s, the government decided to construct an official building for the President of the Republic in the immediate vicinity of his official residence, the historic Kadriorg Palace.
The building of the Office of the President of the Republic was completed in the summer of 1938 and was designed by architect Alar Kotli.
The Office of the President of the Republic is located in Kadriorg at A. Weizenbergi 39. From the city center, Kadriorg can be easily reached by tram number 1 or 3, then straight along A. Weizenbergi Street past the Kadriorg Art Museum.
The main entrance is reserved for the President’s guests only. All others are kindly asked to use the side entrance on A. Weizenbergi Street.
