After the Constitution Day the Estonian Head of State will stay on for a two-day official visit of to Poland. The visit takes place at an important and symbolic time in terms of relations between two countries, as Estonia and Poland celebrate the centenary of diplomatic relations this year. Thus, this visit offers an opportunity to recall the rich and diverse history of our countries as well as to discuss the current state and future of cooperation, explained Martin Roger, Estonian Ambassador to Poland. "Estonia and Poland have a similar sense of security and we work together to ensure security and prosperity both bilaterally in NATO and the EU. Poland also plays an important role in the region's energy and transport connections," Roger added.

Considering the effects of Covid-19, for economic recovery, the green and digital transitions will be important for both countries in the coming years – these issues will be at the heart of the President's meetings with the President of Poland and other state representatives. In addition to the President of Poland, the Estonian Head of State will also meet with Marshal Elżbieta Witek of the Polish Sejm, Tomasz Grodzki, Marshal of the Polish Senate and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. As Estonia's largest trading partner in Central Europe, Poland is an increasingly important market for Estonian companies. Thus, the Estonian Head of State will be accompanied by a business delegation to promote co-operation between the two countries in the field of business.
