President of Bulgaria will arrive on an official visit to Estonia


On Monday the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev will arrive for a two day visit to Estonia. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Desislava Radeva. On October 19 President Radev will participate in the Three Seas Summit. On October 20th the official  visit will continue with meetings with President Kersti Kaljulaid, Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and Henn Põlluaas, Speaker of Riigikogu.

On October 19 Estonia will host the Three Seas Virtual Summit, at which several heads of state of Central and Eastern Europe, the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, European Commission Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager and business leaders will discuss the future of Central and Eastern Europe. The Presidents of Poland and Bulgaria will travel to Tallinn for the summit. Bulgaria will host the next summit and President Kaljulaid will symbolically pass the hosting rights on to President Radev at the press conference.

The official welcoming ceremony in form of the Office of the President will take place on Tuesday, followed by a meeting of the presidents and a joint press conference. Next, President Radev will meet with Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and the Speaker of Riigikogu, Henn Põlluaas. The President of Bulgaria will also visit the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the e-Estonia Briefing Centre.
