President Kersti Kaljulaid is on a one-day working visit to Athens today to discuss security, economic and migration issues with the heads of state belonging to the Arraiolos Group.

In addition, the Estonian Head of State will have a bilateral meeting with Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland, to talk about the climate crisis, multilateralism and Brexit.

The Arraiolos Group is known as a series of informal meetings that began in 2003. It is the gathering of the heads of state who do not participate in the European Council. In this year's meeting the presidents of Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary will be present.

The Head of State will return to Estonia tonight.
