President Kaljulaid to embark on a two-day visit to Greece

President Kersti Kaljulaid will embark on an official visit to Greece tonight to meet with the President and Prime Minister on Thursday and Friday, visit the staff at Frontex and meet with the representatives of the local digital sphere.

On Thursday, President Kaljulaid will meet with the President of Greece, Prokópis Pavlópoulos, and give a joint press conference with the Head of State of Greece. Her itinerary also includes a meeting with the Speaker of Greek Parliament, Nikolaus Voutsis. In the evening of the same day, the President will visit the centre for start-up companies, Orange Grove, where she will introduce our e-governance and digital society.

On Friday, President Kaljulaid will meet with the Prime Minister of Greece, Aléxis Tsípras, and the leader of the opposition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The Head of State will also pay a visit to the staff of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) in the harbour of Piraeus and take part in the opening of an exhibition of cupolas of Estonian orthodox churches in the Byzantine Museum.

President Kersti Kaljulaid will be accompanied during her visit to Greece by the Minister of Interior, Andres Anvelt, members of the Parliament, Hanno Pevkur and Oudekki Loone, and Deputy Director General of the Police and Border Guard, Krista Aas, as well as one of the establishers of the software companies Mooncascade and Garage48.
