The Head of State to embark tomorrow on a working visit to Latvia and Poland


President Kersti Kaljulaid will meet on Wednesday with the President of the Republic of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, and open a strategic communication conference in NATO’s Centre of Excellence in Riga. From Latvia, the Head of State will proceed to Warsaw to give an address at the North Atlantic Council summit and at the Summit of Central and Eastern European counties, which this year will be attended by the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

Tomorrow, President Kaljulaid and the President of the Republic of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, will open the STRATCOM strategic communication conference in the NATO centre of excellence in Riga. The agenda also includes a bilateral meeting between the heads of state.

On Thursday in Warsaw, the Summit of the Three Seas Initiative will take place and bring together the heads of state of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Austria and Croatia and, on this occasion, the President of the United States. The Head of State of Estonia will take part in a discussion focused on the future of Europe and transport, infrastructure and energetics, and she will have a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Hungary.

In Friday in Warsaw, the Atlantic Council summit, “A Stronger Europe for a Stronger Transatlantic Partnership”, will take place; President Kaljulaid will participate in a discussion on security with the heads of state of Poland, Bulgaria and Croatia and in a discussion that analyses the developments in digital society.
